The transition from the Renntiger model to the Racetiger is a real generation change. During the development phase of the new Racetiger SL R JR, the R&D team worked with skiing legends Giorgio Rocca and Manfred Pranger, as well as their children: Francesco and Giacomo Rocca, Mario and Laura Pranger. Many beginning skiers from various ski clubs were also involved. The feedback from these talented young skiers, combined with the skills of their fathers, contributed significantly to the development of the new junior ski racing system.
Although the construction of the ski is the same for all lengths, the thickness or material proportions vary from length to length. Torsionally Soft Tip technology makes the tip more direct, precise and reliable. A 60% increase in tip flex gives young skiers greater ease of turn initiation and less force from start to finish of turns.
The current range of products also features an interface with the two-piece Race plate, which gives the flex line more roundness and harmony and provides a more even distribution of grip. Thanks to a new drilling template, the front stop can be fitted with just 3 screws instead of 4. This results in a more direct edge response and more efficient pressure transfer, giving the ski a great glide.
